Climbing a hill: How reactants turn into products.

Abstract

Students use a PhET simulation to see how energy, temperature, and collision angle affect the reaction rate of a simple reaction. At the end of the one-hour activity, they will calculate rate constants as a function of temperature given an activation energy.
