Mineral Extraction

Abstract

This POGIL activity about mineral extraction is designed for general science learners in lower primary school. The activity is meant to provide some knowledge to young learners who have not been taught anything related to mining. Learners however should have some initial knowledge of the fact that minerals are extracted from the ground. They don’t need to know the methods used because that is the aim of the activity. The text and the diagram provided in the activity may assist learners to grasp the desired knowledge.
